Districts of Manila
Manila is the city with 16 territorial districts. These all are based on original town instead of the Port Area District. These all districts have their own churches for Christians to preach their religion and spend their life freely with religious values. Many of these districts have gained their own individualizes. Manila has its own map with its districts marked on it. North of the Pasig River are their 8 districts. Binondo was said to be the china town of the country before Spaniards arrival. It was the time of 1511. It was the hub of business center, finance, whole trade and various delicious foods.
Quiapo is a district which is famous for its low rate products included electronics to handicrafts as well as pirated DVD films. It is the hometown of black Nazarene. Sampaloc is a place where Asia's oldest university named as Santo Tomas is located. There is also a famous market known as Dangwa Flower Market. San Miguel of is a residential area of the Philippine Government and Malacang Palace. It is also known as the University Belt District.San Nicolas is a district that shares Divisoria Flea Market with the nearby co-districts. It is the attractive place for those who seek for lower place products.
This is an ideal place. Good products are sale out in lower prices and attract such shoppers towards it. Santa Cruz is the edge of China Town and place known as residential and commercial area. Santa Mesa according to the Holy term of Spanish Holy Mass is the district where first shot was marked by the Filipino-Americans during the war. Tondo is 1100 years old district. It is also historically very important and has its great history. It is known as the South Africa's most densely populated district. This district was the first one to be established and rebel against Spain. Ermita is is a tourist destination just as Malate District. It was known as Red District.
Now the night life of this district is very famous. It is located with bars, night clubs, and cafes. There are many antique shops offering various coins and art works.In Ermita, American Embassy is located at the place of Rizal Park. There is also Manila Bay Hostel located in this district. People enjoy nightlife here providing full opportunity to refresh them. Intramuros is a Latin word, which means (with the walls). It is also a historical town as old as Manila itself till the Spanish times just like Ermita. Malate is also famous for its night life and attractions. Paco is historically important but there is mysterious octagonal park Cemetery lays. Pandacan is the centre of country literacy and musical activities.
Port is the country's chief sea port. It is consisted of North and South Port, where the view of Manila Bay while sun setting is unremarkable. The previous part of Santa Ana is known as San Andres Bukid. There Muslim culture has been seen and a mosque is located here. Sapa is the ancient name of Santa Ana. It is the district that was the old capital of Namayan Kingdom. These 8 districts are the fountain of Manila District. Every district has its own importance and features of attraction. Most of them are widely visited by the tourists from all over the world. Some are commercially important and financially affect the economy of Manila. The ports in Manila also play an important role in the import and export of Manila and help in order to upgrade its economic status.
